Solnk publishes to X through X's official API. X publishing has a separate included allowance inside your normal Solnk plan. It is not an extra subscription or wallet.
Content and media limits
- Text: up to 280 characters per post
- Images: up to 4; JPEG, PNG, GIF, and WebP; up to 5 MB each
- Video: 1 MP4 or MOV video; up to 512 MB and 2 minutes 20 seconds
- Mixed media: images and video cannot be combined in one post
- First comment: supported as a reply to the main post; up to 280 characters
- Threads: not currently available in the solnk composer
Standard posts and URL posts
An X post containing a web address uses more of the included allowance than a standard post. This includes full links and bare domains that X automatically turns into links. The composer identifies the post type before submission.

Standard and URL posts draw from the same pool. The table shows the maximum when you use only one post type; mixing them produces a different combination.
How first comments are counted
An optional first comment is a second X post and uses allowance separately. A link in either the main post or first comment makes that individual post a URL post. The main post remains successful if the optional first comment fails.
What happens when the allowance is unavailable
The post is stopped before solnk uploads media or sends the create-post request to X. You may see one of these messages:
- Monthly X publishing allowance reached — wait for the next allowance period or move to a plan with a larger pool.
- An active Solnk plan is required to use X API features — restore an active Free, trial, Pro, or Premium plan.
- X API requests are temporarily paused while the prepaid balance is replenished — this is a solnk-wide safety pause; retry after service is restored.
- Usage protection could not be verified — Solnk could not safely verify the request allowance; retry later.
The composer identifies URL posts before submission and shows whether the standard or higher X allowance rate will be used.
