Step 1: Open the composer
Click Create Post from your dashboard. The post composer opens with a text editor and media upload area.
Step 2: Write your content
Type your post content in the text editor. You can format text and add links. A character counter shows how many characters you've used — this updates based on the platforms you've selected, since each platform has different limits.
Step 3: Add media
Click the media area to upload images or videos from your device, or select from your Media Library. Supported formats:
- Images: JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP
- Videos: MP4, MOV
solnk validates your media against each platform's requirements before publishing. You'll see a warning if a file exceeds any platform's size or format limits.
Step 4: Select accounts
Choose which social accounts to publish to. You can select individual accounts or an entire Account Group to publish to all accounts in that group at once.
Some platforms have additional options:
- Pinterest — Select which board to pin to
- YouTube — Choose a category and set the video as public, unlisted, or private
Step 5: Schedule or publish
You have two options:
- Post Now — Publishes immediately to all selected platforms
- Schedule — Pick a date and time, then click Schedule. The post appears in your queue with a "Scheduled" status.
After scheduling
- View and manage all scheduled posts on your Posts page
- A scheduled post shows its publish time and target platforms
- You can edit or delete a scheduled post before it publishes
- Once published, posts can no longer be modified through solnk
Tips
- Preview how your post will look on each platform before publishing
- Use drafts to save work-in-progress posts (drafts are kept for 30 days)
- Schedule posts during your audience's peak activity hours for better engagement
